Created in 1754 as a house of correction, over its time has been the County Gaol, briefly a Military Prison, Somerset Police HQ, Taunton Police Station and then Avon and Somerset Police Headquarters.
We have regenerated the site to include 3 separate buildings for shared temporary accommodation. Over 50 rooms available, with over 35 long term residents, with Block A the Former Governor's house and the Taunton Police Station. A large 1960s building providing over 35 living spaces.
Block B, dates back to mid 1700s, previously Taunton Gaol, now home to 15 living spaces and then we have Block E, a Victorian building previously used as the Infirmary and now home to 10 living spaces. All building provide a safe functional environment for people looking to secure affordable accommodation as a property guardianship on a temporary to long term basis right in the heart of Taunton Town Center
